PEARCE'S CLAIMS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright, Sydney, December 31. Pearce has covered Felton's deposit, and declares that he is not going to forfeit the title of Australian champion. The rules stipulate that a challenge nniwt be accepted within two months after it is made, and the race must be rowed within four months thereafter. Therefore the title is safe for six months. He will leave for England' on February 12. He has got the whole of the stake money for ihe match with' Barry. .
