The Rev. H. J. Lewis is relieving at Waverley. Miss Olive 'May, a Gaiety girl, has been married to Lord Victor Paget, states a London cablegram. A Hawera Press Association message announces the death of Mr. Henry AVilliam Sutton, at the age of 73 years. For many years deceased was associated with Hawera and the surronding district. He took a prominent part in local government affairs, and served several years as mavor.

The death is announced of Mr. William Todd, t'lie well-known auctioneer, aged 70. Mr. 'Todd arrived in Invercargill in 18(13 and was licensed as an auctioneer by the Provincial Council in 1805. He took part in the West Coast rush, and for three successive years he Mas Mayor of Hokitika. He also occupied the position of Provincial Treasurer there.
