Best heavy Sydneys 13d to 14% d; bafiils firm, heat Sydneys lid to 15y 2 d, New Zealands 10y»d to 22d. Hares.—Firm, about 2s Cd. Eabbits.—Quiet and unchanged. The trade is devoting all its attention to poultry. [ Sheep.—Cantarbury, light and medium nominally sd; New Zealand ewes, none offering. Lambs.—Light s%jd, jmedlium heavy 5%d; South Island and North Island, none offering. South American chilled fores 3%, hinds sd. Other meats were unehaaged. HIGH COMMISIONER'S REPORT. Canterbury, price, 4%d; North Island v 4%d; South Island, 4%d; Argentine, <t 3 / 8 d; Australian 4y 4 d.
Lamb.—The market is firm, with a good demand' for all qualities. Canterbury average price 5%d, other qualities 5%d, Argentine 5%d, Australian 5%d,
Beef.—The market is firm with a hardening tendency. New Zealand hinds overage price 3%d, fores 3y B d. Butter.—The market is quiet with a tendency in favour of buyers. The Christmas demand has ceased. Trade will be quiet until after the holidays. New Zealand first grade litis to 1245, Australian 115s, Argentine 115s, Siberian 110s, Danish 131s.
Cheese.—The markat is quiet and tlier.? is little doing, but a good feeling prevails. New Zealand white ClsJ coloured 625.
Hemp.—The market is steady and price well maintained. A fair demand continues. Good-fair £33, fair grade £3l ]os, in position. Manila fair current £33, forward shipments £3,4 10s. The output from Manila for-the week was IS.OOO bales.
Wool.—The market remains firm. Wheat.—New Zealand long-berried ex granary 3Gs per quarter of 496 lb. Kauri brown selected £4 to £5 per ton, dirk brown chips £1 10s to £2 10s, rcscraned pale amber £lO to £ll, three-quarter pale scraped £3 10s to £9, diggers chips (good) £2 to £3. The market is quiet, but moderate business is doing. The stock at the end of November amounted to 187 tons.
