THE WHAU CANAL.
LINKING TWO HARBOURS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, December 22. It is probable that a Bill will be introduced into Parliament next session giving power to the Auckland Harbour Board to undertake the construction of the Whau Canal, connecting Waitemata and Manukau harbours. The promoters have Mr. Massey's verbal assurance that the scheme will receive his personal support. If the Bill is carried it is probable that the work will be completed within four years from the present time.
