RAIN ARRANGEMENTS GALA DAY AT NEW PLYMOUTH. 2<ith DECEMBER. RACES AT NEW PLYMOUTH AND AXEMEN'S CARNIVAL AT ELTHAM 26th AND 27th DECEMBER. QS THURSDAY, 26th December, Special Trains, stopping at any intermediate station if required, will leave 'Hawera at 6.50 a.m., Lepperton 0.35 a.m., arriving New Plymouth 10.5 a.m. Returning from New Plymouth at 5.55 p.m. for Waitara and Hawera. The usual 11.15 a.m. train Hawera to Netf Plymouth, will NOT run. The usual 4.20 p.m. train will he delayed to leave New Plymouth at 0.25 p.m. for Pohokura and Hawera. Train will leave Waitara at 0.5 p.m. to connect at Lepperton Junction with the 5.55 p.m. train from New Plymouth. The 6.50 a.m. and 7.20 a.m. trains from Hawera, and the 5.55 p.m. and 6.25 pm. trains from New Plymouth will stop for Passengers at the Autere street platform, near Fitzrov. On THURSDAY, 26th December, Spe--cial Train will leave New Plymouth at 9.30 a.m., arriving Eltham 11.52 a.m. A Special Passenger Train will leave Eltham at 4.45 p.m., Waitara arrive 6.45 p.m., New Plymouth arrive 7.0 p.m. On THURSDAY and FRIDAY, 26th and 27th December, the usual 4.5 p.m. Goods Train with Passenger Car attached, Hawera to New Plymouth, will NOT run. A Special Passenger Train will leave Hawera at 4.5 p.m., Lepperton Junction 7.0 p.m., New Plymouth arrive 7.28 p.m. A Special Passenger Train will leave Lepperton at 6.37 p.m. for Waitara, connecting with the 4.5 p.m. train from Hawera. Train will leave Waitara at 0.30 p.m. ■to connect at Lepperton Junction with the 6.25 p.m. train from New Plymouth. The usual 4.20 p.m. train will be delayed to leave New Plymouth at 6.25 p.m. ■■ for Waitara, Pohokura, and Hawera. Holders of Excursion Tickets CANNOT travel to Eltham by the South Mail Train, nor return by the North Mail Train on 26th and 27th December. New Plymouth to Hawera, will be delayed to leave New Plymouth at 5.32 p.m. for Waitara, Pohokura and Hawera. Trains will run between New Plymouth and Breakwater as required. On WEDNESDAY, Ist January, trains •will leave New Plymouth at 7.40 a.m. and 0.25 a.m., Waitara 7.53 a.m. arid 9.45 a.m., arriving Hawera 11.9 a.m. "and 12.35 p.m. respectively. Returning from Hatoera at 4.5 p.m. and 5.50 p.m. for New Plymouth, Waitara, and Polio-' kura.

The usual 4.5 p.m. Goods Train, with passenger car attached, from Hawera to New Plymouth, will NOT run. A Special Passenger Train will leave Hawera at 4.5 p.m., New Plymouth arrive 7.28 p.m. Holders of Excursion Tickets CAXXOT •travel to Hawera by the South Mail Train, or return by the North Mail Train, on the Ist January. RACES AT STRATFORD. 2nd JANUARY. On THURSDAY, 2nd January, a, Special Passenger Train will 'leave New Plymouth at 9.45 a.m., Waitara 9.45 am.. Lepperton 10.19 a.m., Stratford arrive 11.30 a.m. Return train will leave Stratford 5.45 p.m., New Plymouth arrive 7.30 p.m. Holders of Excursion Tickets to Stratford CANNOT travel by the South Mail Train, or return by the North Mail Train, on 2nd January. On THURSDAY, 2(stn December, and WEDNESDAY. Ist January, the usual 2.0 p.m. Waitara-Leppertoli train, and the 2.35 p.m. Lepperton-Waitara train, will NOT run. On THURSDAY and FRIDAY. 20th and 27th December, the 4.5 p.m. Goods Train with passenger car attached, from Hawera to New Plymouth, will NOT run. On WEDNESDAY. Ist January,' the usual 11.15 a.m. train, Hawera to New Plymouth, and the usual 4.5 p.m. Goods Train with passenger car attached from Hawera to New Plymouth, will XOT un. The usual 4.20 p.m. train will be delayed to leave Stratford at 7.45 p.m. for Pohokura. New Plymouth at 5.32 p.m. for Waitara, Hawera and Pohokura. Train will leave Waitara at 5.45 p.m. to connect at Lepperton Junction with the 5.32 p.m. train from New Plymouth. Train will leave Waitara at 0.30 p.m. to connect at Lepperton Junction with the 6.25 p.m. train from New Plymouth and the 4.5 p.m. train from Hawera. Train will leave Waitara at 8.10 p.m. to connect at Lepperton Junction with the 5.50 p.m. train from Hawera. On THURSDAY, 2nd January, the ■usual 11.15 a.m. train from Haweva will leave Hawera at 10.50 a.m.. Stratford arrive 12 noon, thence running to New Plymouth at usual times.
