As the light was bad Wilson, the Wellington skipper, sent in his weaker batsmen, and at the call of time Wellington had lost six wickets tor 35 runs, Harvey was very deadly, and captured four for 13, Gibbee (14) was the only double figure scorer for Wellington so far.
