AUSTRIA'S PROVOCATION. Bj Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Paris, December 19. The newspapers reprobate Austria's provocative attitude towards Servia, especially the demonstrative mobilisation. AMBASSADORS' CONFERENCE. A HOPEFUL FORECAST. London, December 19. The Morning Post says that as the result of the Ambassadors' Conference, the Adriatic and Albanian autonomy questions are well on towards settlement Servia is showing a spirit of unselfishness and a desire not to endanger European peace. KING TO RECEIVE DELEGATES. London, December 19. The King will receive the peace delegates at Buckingham Palace on Saturday. The conference has been adjourned till Saturday, awaiting a courier bringing the Turks' instructions. ALBANIAN AUTONOMY. London, December 19. The Daily Mail says the Turks have been instructed to negotiate with the (xreeks. The Daily Mail's Belgrade correspondent reports that the Austro-Servian difficulty has been settled. Servia will recognise the autonomy of Albania, receiving the use of a commercial port on the Albanian, coast, connected by a neutral railway.

A Reuter message says that the Ambassadorial discussions have cleared the air. If peace is concluded in reasonable time there need be no apprehension over questions which have hitherto caused anxiety. THE GARIBALDIAN LEGION. I HEAVY LOSSES. Received 20, 10.15 p.m. Athens, December 20. The check sustained by the Garibaldian Legion when they lost all their officers and had four hundred killed and wounded caused the rumours of a Turkish victory at Janina where thirty thousand Turks were bravely'fighting. Bizani is still uncaptured. There were heavy losses on both sides. WAR IN THE AIR. Lieutenant Misuris flew over Janina Athens, December 20. and dropped bombs. The Turkish riflemen penetrated one of his airships' wings but he returned to camp safely. A MASSACRE OF CHRISTIANS. Athene, December 20. A Greek vessel has wirelessed that the Turks have massacred the Christians at Mitylene.
THE TURKISH FLEET. NAVAL ENGAGEMENTS. . Athens, December 20. Part of the Turkish Fleet has been beached near the Dardanelles after being damaged in the recent naval fight. The Greeks captured the steamer Trerarraek,, with coal, bound for Constaza. It is reported that Admiral Halil Paiha, four officers and many men were killed in a naval engagement aboard the Flagship Kheyreddin at Barbarossa. It is also stated that the vessel was greatly damaged, that shells pierced both her sides, and that a fire occured but was Extinguished. Three other ships were severely damaged.
