Received 18, 9.45 p.m. Sydney, December 18. The Labor caucus decided not 'to appoint a successor to Mr. Beeby. Mr. Carmiehael .will administer the Labor portfolio, and Mr. Trelle (Minister of Agriculture) will assume the Lands portfolio.
