CHINESE SHOP ROBBED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Tuesday., A Chinese shop was broken into on Sunday night, and about £OS was stolen. 'CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP. Wellington, Tuesday. The following entries have been received for the chess championship, which will be held at Nelson on December 20:—Gyles (YVestport), Sainsbury (Gisborne), Dodds and Cole (Nelson), Severne (Canterbury), W. E. Mason and James (Wellington), Hicks (Napier), Grierson (Auckland), Barnes and Kelling (Wellington Workmen's Club). The last two are uncertain starters. WELLINGTON WATER SUPPLY. Wellington, Tuesday. The laying of the additional main from Wainui-o-mata dams was completed and brought into use to-day. The pressure at the Town Ilall and in the business portion of the city lias increased in the daytime from' 001b to the square inch to 1301b.
