INGLEWOOD NEWS.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The usual monthly meeting of the Moa Dairy Co. was held on the Kith inst. There were present: Messrs Jones (fhaimiaii), Brittain, Butler, Egar, MeMahon, Stachurski and Williams. The chairman reported attending a meeting at liawera re the proposed farmers' co-operative organisation society. At this meeting a sub-commit-tee was set up to draft prospectus and articles of association. It was resolved that the price of firstclass pine lie fixed at £1 per cord, sec-ond-class pine at 17s, green tawa 14s, and rata 22s (id. Accounts amounting to £5549 10s 7d (general account) and £312 19s Gd (store account) were passed for pay- 1 ment, the milk cheque being £5147 7s fid. The executive of the Ingle wood Chamber of Commerce held their usual 1110 tl Lilly meeting on Monday evening, Present: Messrs Bennett (president), in the chair; Messenger, McLean, Roberts, F. Spurdle, G. 11. Taylor and F. Thompson. A letter was read from the Wellington Chamber re the formation of an Association of New Zealand Chambers of Commerce. It was resolved that the Chamber could not see its way at present to join the proposed association. One or two other matters of importance were discussed in committee.
