ITolman, Griffiths and several members, yesterday declared Government TTonse grounds open for the public. There was a large gathering, which proved extremely noisy'. Mr. McGowen's speech was only partially heanl above the cheering and the hooting of opponents to the Government's attitude oil the matter. The speakers endeavored unsuccessfully to make themselves heard. Mr. Ilenley, a member of the Assembly, delivered n bitter speech, condemning the Government. He was not heard." and handed the newspapers his speech for publication. The proceedings were otherwise good-humored.
