The tennis tournament between Britain and Queensland was played in fine weather on {food courts. The visitors disposed of their opponents easily, except St. John and McLean. The latter went within a point of winning the rubber. Dixon and Beamish beat St. John and McLean, 3 fi, 7—5, 'o—4. Parke and Lowe beat Batten and Exton, 6—2, o—3. Lowe beat Exton, o—l, 6—3. Dixon beat McLean, o—o, o—3.
