Bailiffs appeared in a concert hall and seized Kubelik's Stradivarius violin, valued at £ISOO, to satisfy Mr. Hugo GorliU's judgment for £ 1*250 in connection with Kubelik's New Zealand toui\ Kubelik offered a cheque in payment, but this was refused. Kubelik is shortly Reaving for Vienna for an operation for appendicitis.
