Mrs. .Jennison was young and beautiful, and Jennison was absurdly jealous of her. He could not bear to see her speaking to a man. Yesterday he learnt that she was in the company of a young acquaintance, and the enraged husband went in search of the couple. He came upon them in a busy street and followed them for a couple of blocks. Then he seemed to lose his head. He rushed in front of the startled woman and fired a revolver point-blank in her face. She screamed and ran away from him, but she was mortally wounded, and collapsed on the threshold of a house. Jennison then fired at himself, but the only effect was to set his clothes on fire, the bullet missing him. Before he could fire a second shot he was seized by a policeman, who extinguished the madman's burning coat. JACK JOHNSON AGAIN. Chicago, November 24.
