The pillar-box outrages are being continued in London and the provinces. A suffragist on the Brighton esplanade made an insulting reference to Queen Victoria. The platform was stormed. The police saved the speaker. Other suffragettes were mobbed at Catford for advocating a policy of destroying letters. The police assisted them to escape.
