The Government has received Austria's acceptance of Sir Edward Grey's suggested conference of ambassadors. The other Powers had already acquiesced. 'Austria, Germany and Russia suggest conversations in London on the situation arising out of the war.
The Times states that Austria-Hun-gary .and Italy have remonstrated with Greece against the bombardment of Avlona.
The Albanians have appointed ten Ministers as a provisional government under Ismail Kernel.
THE AUSTRIAN FLAG. SERVIA TO EAT THE LEEK. Received 8, 5.5 p.m. . London, December 7. The Chronicle's Vienna correspondent reports that it has become known that the insult to the Austrian flag at Werizrend was of such an extraordinary nature that it was humiliating. Satisfaction will be sought. The demands include the removal of General Janovich as commander of the Servian corps, the degradation of the officers participating in the outrage, a Servian regimental march-past the Consulate. saluting the Austrian flag, and King Peter, in full dress, to visit the Austrian Minister at Belgrade and apologise.
THE GREEK DELEGATES. Received 8, 5.5 p.m. London, December 7. The Daily Telegraph's Athens correspondent says that the delay in the receipt of a telegram from the Greek delegates at Chataldja caused the Greeks to be left out of the armistice. The Allies thereafter concurred that it would be better in the common interest that Greece should remain out, leaving her position neutral and in a position to prevent Turkish reinforcements from Asia Minor and coal supplies reaching Constantinople, where there is a coal famine.
TOE GREEK ATTITUDE.^ Received 8, 5.5 p.m. Sofia, December 7. Official circles do not expect great trouble from the differences with Greece. King Nicholas declares that he will not sign any treaty refusing the Montenegrins possession of Scutari. RUSSIAN POLAND. Vienna, December <J. The action of the Austro-Hungarian Bank in calling up credits has caused numerous bankruptcies in Austrian Poland. Revolutionaries are drilling in Russian Poland. A hundred thousand are preparing to oppose Russia in the event of war. THE GREEKS STILL FIGHTING. Athens, December G. The Greeks defeated a band of marauders and the remnants of the Turkish army who were burning and pillaging villages in Macedonia and the Epirus; 330 Turks were killed and wounded, and forty captured. The Greeks are bombarding the outer forts at Janina. ADRLiNOPLE TO BE REVICTUAILED. London, December 6. Reuter's Constantinople correspondent Bays Adrianople will receive foodstuffs when the Peace Conference begins.
