LONDON WOOL SALES. Tlift. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. and 'Reduced, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 2nd inst.:— t
Buyers are operating with spirit. As compared with last sales' closing rales, prices arc higher by about 5 per cent, for crossbred lambs, greasy merino super, fine crossbred slipe ' and fine greasy cross-bred; higher by about 5 to V/ii per cent, for lambs, medium greasy crossbred and medium crossbred slipe; higher-by about 7% to 10 per cent, for medium and inferior merino, coarse greasy crossbred and coarse crossbred slipe.

On Tuesday. 3rd inst., owing to the very ; wet weather, I had only a small entry in my Kahotu yards, with a small attendance of the public, 15-months heifers from £3 3s to £3 !).s 04, small £2 (is to £2 15s, empty 2-year heifers £4 to £4 18s, dairy cows £5 1,5s to £!), good store; eows £4 to £4 17s. small and aged £1 17s to £2 lis, hullo up to £5 17s. At the Haymarket, New PI virion th. on Saturday, 30th nit., good weaner pigs made 12s (id to 17s (id. slips up to £1 3s, stores from.3ls.to 47s 'O4, pedigree Berkshire slips £3 3s.
Private Sales.—Since my last report T have made the following sales, together with a good number of lambs for forward delivery at 10s: Fat cows £0 10s to £7 3s ,04, fat bullocks £lO 5s to £lO 15s, yearlin'g heifers £3. 3 to 3%-vear bullocks £0 3s to £(! 13s (id, empty- 2 to 2'/a-ycar ! lieifers £4 fls to £4 12s 04. bulls from £3 10s to £l2 12s, yearling steers £2 Ins, springing heifers £5 15s. Molstein heifers, in milk, £ls, 4 and 0-tooth wethers 15s (Id, 4-tooth wethers 13s lid, hoggets 12s 6d. ' ' ADDINaTON. At the Addington live stock market there ,were ; .moderate entries of stock .and a, fair attendance. Store sheep—Two-tooth shorn wethers 17s Id, woolly wethers to 225, 4 and 0-tooth shorn wethers 18s Id, woolly ewe hoggets 18s 4d to 21s, shorn ewes 16s. Id; 2-tooth shorn ewes 20s Id, merino; Wethers (woolly) 10s Sd. woolly merino ewes (with lambs) 8s Id (all counted), crossbred ewes in wool 14s 10d|

Store cattle—Yearlings made 32s (id, 15 to 18-inontlis sorts £2 15s to £4 7s, 2-year, steers £5 15s, 2 J /;;-,vear steers £6 7s to £0 15s, 3-year heifers £O. cows £2) to £0 15s. Dairy cows made £4 to £lO 10s.
Fat.pigs—Choppers realised £3 to £5 10s, heavy baconers 60s to 05s. lighter sorts 48s to 55s (these prices being equal to 4"/|d to 3d per lb, compared with aVid to s'/Jjd the previous week). Porkers made 12s to -His. and lighter sorts 34b to 40s (equivalent to 5 1 ,/, dto 5%d per 11). against 5y 3 d to (!d a"t the sale held a week earlier). Store pigs were in fair supply. Large sorts were not in demand, und sold at prices lielow recent rates', but medium and small stores and wcaners, were in good request and sold freely. .
