ENTERTAINMENTS.
EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE. A new series of films will bo shown at the Empire this afternoon and again at 8 this evening. As usual, the programme is admirably diversified and the educational films are well represented with "Constantinople" (especially interesting at the present moment), *'Th« Gaumont Graphic," "Palace of Ver•aillefl," and "A Trip to Bermuda," the last-named taken by the Edison Co. on their recent picture-producing tour through Bermuda. The dramatic films include, ''With the Enemy's Help" (A.B. Western film story), "The Bank President's Son" (Edison), "The Detective'* Conscience" (Lubin) and "The Insurgent Senator," an Edison political drama. The comic section is headed by another Zigoto scream, "Zigoto's new Motor ,Car.» , / THEATRE ROYAL PICTURES. MATINEE TO-DAY AT -2.30. "The Iron Hand" and his many thrilling adventures in running down the "White Glove Gang" will be shown again at the matinee in the Theatre Royal this afternon and for the last occasion to-night. Supporting the long feature picture is a fine selection of entertaining moving pictures, including a unique film depicting "Snake-catching in Queensland." , Another good film of educational value, yet excedingly interesting to all patrons, is the natural history subject, "Curious creatures of Pond Life" and "Italian Switzerland" contains some tof the most entrancing scenic view* ever reproduced by moving'picture machine. On Monday night a complete new programme will be screened, con. sisting of some of the latest and liest products imported into the Dominion.
