LONDON MARKETS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright, London, December 4. _ Tallow.—Eight hundred and twentyeight casks were offered and 766 sold Mutton, fine 40s 3d, medium 34s 6d Beef, fine 38s, medium 33s 6d.

Silver, 29s 7-10 d per ounce. Wool Sales.—At the sales there was ,a good selection of merinos offered, which attracted brisk competition. Crossbreds are fairly firm.

THE WHEAT MARKET. r London, December 4. The American visible wheat supply is 100,741 ■ quarters.

Sydney, December 5. Prompt delivery wheat has fallen one penny, sales having taken place at 3s Bd.

Melbourne, December 5. The Government statist estimates the \ietorian wheat yield at 23.144.500 bushels.

L. A. NOLAN & CO.'S REPORT. Poultry.—Prices this week show an advance on previous quotations. There was a large entry and all lines met with keen competition. A special line of ducklings realised 3s 8d each. Prices were as follows:—Hens (fat) 2s, 2s Id, 2s 3d, 2s 4d, ordinary Is 5d to Is lOd, ducks 2s Jd to 2s 6d,'ducklings Is to 3s Sd, turkey hens 4s 6d to ss, gobblers 10s fid, chickens" 5d to 9d. Fruit—New season's fruits are now commg to hand in large consignments. Prices are high and very firm, owing to the keen demand for all lines offering. We quote: Apples (American) 18s to 21s, oranges 10s to 20s, apricots as (id pei 121b case, gooseberries 4s Od to ss, tomatoes Sd to lOd lb, cucumbers 4s to Os y 2 (l dozen, cherries 9d to Is lb, peas Is 3d to Is 4d per peck.

WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Poultry.—At the mart on Saturday our pens wore taxed to their utmost, close on 500 birds being penned. Prices were well maintained and some go.od prices were realised. Amongst the birds penned was a fine line of turkeys, gobblers and hens, which met with a ready sale. Prices as under: Hens (fat) Is 6d to 2s 7d, young 2s 3d to 3s 2d, pullets (young) 2s to 2s 9d, forward 3s Id to 3s , lis, cockerels (young) Is Cd to 2s 3d, fat Is 7d to 2s lOd, ducks 2s to 3s 6d, drakes 2s 3d to 2s 9d, turkey gobblers 10s to 12s Od, turkey hens 5s to Os fid, chicks 3%d to lOd. Fruit.—During the week small lots of early fruit have come to hand and met. with a ready sale.
