MT. LYELL MINE.

THE FIRE EXTINGUISHED. By Cable —Prsss Association—Copyright. Ilobart, December 5. Two more bodies, those of Studwell and Gard, have been recovered from the North Lyell Mine. Though the features are not recognisable, the bodies are well preserved. The rescuers reached the 700 ft level. The-shaft was undamaged. There were no smoke or fumes, indicating that the fire was out. The operations of pumping tho water out of the mine, and of recovering the remainder of the bodies are being pushed on.
