SALE AT WAUVAKALHO. At his WaiiViil.jiilm yard* yesterday Mr. Newton King held his animal sale of pedigree Jersey"-. Twenty-eight lots, mostly bulls, were oll'ei'ed, but there was not a large attendance of buyers, and bidding was not very spirited. Many o£ the lobs failed to reach the reserve figure and were passed in. Tlie stock paraded in good condition, and the catalogue contained some of the pick of the Jersey strain; but there was only a very small demand for bulls, some of the best stock not receiving a bid. The sales were: Mr. E. Griffiths' bull Olympic, by Peggy's Campanile—Patty, calved December 5. lflll, 20 guineas, to | Mr. G. H. Lake, of Awakino; Mr. W. George's bull. Jersey Bunk Duke, by Mayflower Magnet ll.—Rosalind, calved October 14, 1910. bred by Mr. A. Hodgkinson, of Nelson, I.V/. • uineas, to Mr. Stanton, of Mangorei: Mr. H. B. Tapper's bull, Favourite ,'lim, by Doctor Jim —Our Favourite, calved July 25, 1911, bred by the owner. 15 guineas, to Mr. J. H. Bag-ley, of New Plymouth; Mr. 11. B. ! Leppcr's bull. Spots Jim. by Doctor Jim —Spot IL, calved September 27, 101 J, and bred bv the owner, 1-1 guineas.' to Mr. E. Todd; Mr. North's Jersey cow Bara Avis, by Bonnie—Rarawaka, bred by Mr. A. Buchanan. 23 guineas, to Mr. W. H. Jury, of New Plymouth; Mr. North's Jersey heifer by Operator out of Rara Avis, bred bv the owner. 20 guineas, to Mr. G.'Mitchell.
