THE MAIN SOUTH ROAD.
To the Editor. Sir,—Tlic Omata people who depend on i the Main South road 1 to be in a fit state | to carry their produce, again 'breathe | freely, as since the job of taking down | the Omata Hill was commenced, the air j has been very full of rumors of strike. which we all dread after the Waihi busi- | ness. Anyhow, anyone knows nowadays 1 that working men will not stand unfairness, and in this case here it is well known that all these men 'have been doing their work and a fair thing, so now the latest is that the job is under a new "boss," who is qualified to work men under him, and thoroughly understands the work which the Council has in hand. From a ratepayer's point of view, delays and bungling of this work are very dear in the end. Hoping to report next time good progress and satisfaction, —I am, etc., RATEPAYER. , Omata, 28/11/12.
