The accused hae been remanded. TROUBLE IN NICARAGUA. Washington, November 28. Reports received by the State Department announce tiiat during a fight in the streets at Managra in Nicaragua, an Englishman and two soldiers were killed. The Government is investigating. MENTAL DEFICIENCY. London, November 28. A remarkable appeal has been made to the Government, stating that the failure to pass the Mental Deficiency Bill would be nothing short of n national calamity. The appeal is signed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Sir Archibald Geikie, Sir Thomas Allbutt, Sir William Osier, Professor Karl Pearson and many well-known men and women. THE STEINHEIL CASE . London, November 28. Mr. Justice Darling granted Madame Steinheil an injunction against Adam, the author, and, Werner' Laurie, the publisher, of the book "Woman and Crime"' wherein the famous trial is described. Defendants agreed to withdraw the reflections and compensate Madame Steini heil. 1
