ENTERTAINMENTS.

BARTON BROS.' CIRCUS. This big amusement enterprise will j open their .season here on Monday night. The show is so well and favorably known j that it is scarcely necessary for us to I enter upon eulogistic detail on the merits of the management and the performers. However, the personnel of the show has undergone such a big reorganisation that further comment is essential. On the occasion nf the last visit the Barton firm easily upheld the reputation they had gained in other parts of the Dominion, so much so that the name has become almost a household word. The Hawera Star, in commenting on. the performance, says: "The circus controlled 'by Barton Bros, is distinctly different to all other, and for this visit Mr. F. J. Barton has spared no expense in supplying the demands of the 'amuse-ment-loving public. Specialty acts, sensational acts and novelties of all descriptions are now included in the 'bill. Among the many star turns included in the new programme are Ilanley, Marguerite and ilanley, a trio who come direct from Ringling Bros., the greatest circus on the face of the earth; also the famous Baker Family, t who come direct from the lloyal Hippodrome, Dublin ; the Dum-Dum trio of comedy riders; Nona Valdore, the world's champion stockwhip export, and several others, including Happy Jackles, the clown, with a repertoire that ensures no dull moments." Amusement lovers are, in for a great treat, and those who miss The performance will lose an opportnnty of seeing one of the best shows that has yet toured these parts.
