MURDER OF A TRADER. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 28, 9.50 p.m. Sydney, November 28. The widow of Mr. .J. 11. Davies, representative of Kerr Brothers in the New Hebrides, has arrived. She alleges "tnat her husband was murdered. Davies left Tonga in company with two natives, for the purpose of recruiting on the island of Epi. During the day the natives returned and reported that Davies was dead. A search party found him dying, with large wounds in the back of his head. He was apparently attacked while resting, but there is nothing to show by whom. The widow complains of the want of a proper enquiry into his death. The death certificate ascribes bis decease to over-exertion.
