The following weather summary and forecast was issued by the Government Meteorologist at 5 p.m.:—Summary: The leather has been generally cloudy, and considerable rain has fallen, especially in the north. The barometer has risen an the south, but has fallen in the north. The winds have been variable, with south«rlies predominating. Forecast: Present indications are for strong southerly Trinds generally, with showery and changeable weather. .Heavy rain is probable between the East Cape and Castlejioint. The barometer will probably rise everywhere soon.
