THE STRATFORD SHOW.

The great central Show of Taranaki is the Stratford A. and P. Show. Though the youngest show in the province it has made a niche for itself, and now- hundreds of people look forward to it as the holiday fixture, combining an education in stock-raising, horsemanship, and A. and P. sections generally with all the concomitants of a first-class picnic outing. This has already become the -premier dairy show of the Dominion, and the Jersey, Aryshire, and Holstein sections contain entries from the principal North Island breeds, and this will undoubtedly be a section well worth seeing. The horse section is a record, too, and the ever-popular ring competitions have filled wondrously well. There are twentyone entries in one of the competitions, and the Association has special arrangements, with a holding ring and special gateways, etc., to deal with the situation. There will be no waits, no delays. The grand parade and parade oi dogs will be a great sight. There is plenty of grandstand accommodation on the most picturesque show ground in, the province, there are excursion fares and special trains, there are numerous side shows, there are capital lunch and refreshment facilities, and all that showgoers can reasonably desire.
