There has been increasing haze and cloudiness generally, with heavy rain on the West Coast and m the southernmost districts of the Bouth Island, but warm and sultry weather <on parts of the eastern coasts of both Islands. Forecast.—Present indications are for a falling barometer m the North, with skies clouding over and ram following. Unsettled and cloudy weather with fain is probable in the South where -the barometer is now steady and due to rise shortly. High northerly to westerly winds are probable in the North, and -westerlies to southerlies in the South.
