PROFESSORS' CONFERENCE.

The conference of University Professors concluded last night. The official report will be supplied to the press next week.

It is announced that Professor Marshall's motion relating to the alteration of the degree course was ruled out, towards the end of the conference, together with other business, in consequence of the decision that the business should end yesterday.

The Magistrate, Mr. Page, dismissed a petition, against the poll which carried rating on unimproved value. The "How to Vote" papers he held were not illegal.

THE NEW SYDNEY CABLE. Auckland, Saturday
