PHENOMENAL STORM.

Received 24, 5.5 p.m. "Sydney, November 23. A sudden thunderstorm passed over the city, accompanied by phenomenal rain for half an hour. The streets were flooded, and considerable damage was done. A gang of five tramline repairers were struck by lightning, and one named Parks was killed, while the others were slightly injured.
MEAT-CANNING WORKS WRECKED.
Received 25, 12.20 a.m. Sydney, November 24. Payten's imported stallion Petrillo was struck dead during the storm. The Dence Company's meat-canning store at Botany was struck by lightning and wrecked.
The rain was accompanied by large, jagged pieces of ice, which frightened horses and damaged the fruit crops.
