CHARGE AGATNST A WARDER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. At the Police Court to-day Edward Goodall. an ex-attendant at, 'Seaoliff Mental Hospital, was charged with having unlawfully struck ami ill-treated a patient. The case for the prosecution was that the accused struck a patient with his hands and a stick, and also kicked him. inflicting tolerably severe but not dangerous injury. The. defence \vas ( that the patient refused to work, and accused gave him a fhake. Accused reserved his defence and was committed for trial. Rail was allowed in his own recognisance of £IOO. and two sureties of £SO each.
