DETAILS OF THE DISASTER. By Cable—Pr-jss Association—Copyright. Received 22, 9.30 p.m. Kingston, November 22. Restoration ot communication is being made in the affected districts. The death roll is a hundred in the coast towns alone. All tlie coasting sloops and schooners in the harbor at Greenisland foundered, and the majority of the crews were drowned. The Governor-General has arrived at Montego, and ordered the despatch of tents to house the homeless: At Savai Malamar the tidal wave was the highest experienced for a century. It washed a coasting vessel half way up the main street. All the churches and railway stations were unroofed. Forty dead have been recovered. The wrecked buildings were levelled by the water's force.
