At Inglewood yesterday Inglcwood A ] defeated Inglewood 15 by 40 runs. The latter batted first and totted up 03, J. Harris compiling 33 runs. He was also the most successful bowler for the B's, i capturing six wickets for 57, out of a" ! total of 133 for nine wickets, the major portion of which was compiled by Pullen 35, Matthews 25, R. Harris, one for 15; Sutherland, none for 10; Russell, none for 15. URENUI v. NEW PLYMOUTH. The match resulted in a win for Uremii by four runs, after an exciting game. New Plymouth travelled out two men short, and batted two substitutes. TJrenui went to the wickets and scored 85, of which C. Wilson was top scorer! with a well played 28. E. Sarten hit up 18 quickly, and W. Wilson batted very carefully for 14. Nicoll was most successful with the ball, with an average of five wickets for 2D runs. The complete New Plymouth bowling analysis is not to hand. New Plymouth started well, and with only three wickets down and 60 runs on the board they looked like winning easily; however, Bain lost his wicket unluckily, and Weston through a mishit, and the complexion of the game altered Hassell was top scorer with 21. through good free cricket.
