THE HAWERA SHOW.
The list of entries for the .Hawera Show is over 200 in excess of any previous record. The show should therefore be the most attractive yet held under the Society's auspices as quality is also an outstanding feature in addition to numbers. Under favorable weather conditions this year's show will be without doubt a record-breaker in every respect. The entry list is as follows, together with the figures for the last two years:
Totals 2077 1330 1867 It will be seen that cattle, horses, dogs and home industries show a substantial increase on last year's entries, whilst sheep are the same in number and the reputation the district possesses as a breeding centre will be well sustained by the exhibition. There will be keen competition in some of the chief cattle and horse sections. Other sections are well patronised and a highly creditable display must lie the outcome. In home industries there arc as many as 25 and 30 entries in some of the classes. A busy staff nf workers has arrangements well in hand for the big carnival on Wednesday and Thursday next.
