Mr. Massey said the immigration problem was engaging the particular attention of the Hon. Mr. Bell. The Govi eminent had already determined to pursue a more, active Immigration policy {than had obtained for years. To this lend, a manager was to be appointed in connection with the Immigration Department. The population of the country could be doubled without affecting the ) standard of wages, and the Government was going to do its best to get the rHvt class of people to come to tin's country.
