THE VICTORIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, November 13. The entrants for the Victorian tennis championships include Geoffrey Ollivier, the New Zealand champion. Oliivier's partner in the doubles is 11. Marsh, of New South Wales. 'The English pair in the doubles arc Parke and Beamish. The English captain. Dixon, states that the advance in the Englishmen's practice has been slow but steady. Beamish has rapidly reached his true form. His service is full of snap, and his ground play is excellent. Everything points to a close finish. TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Taranaki Lawn Tennis Association was held, yesterday afternoon, there being present: Messrs. Nicholson (chairman), Stockcr, Thomson, White. W. 11. Browne, C. Webster and Griffiths. It was resolved to hold the annual ! tournament at Easter, at which the 'North Island interprovincial championships will be decided. PARK CLUB. If the weather is fine, the Park Lawn Tennis Club will open its season this afternoon.
