MR. SPEAKER WILLIS.
DETECTIVE AS BODYGUARD. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 13, 9.30 p.m. Sydney, November 13. It transpires that Mr. Speaker Willis has the distinction of having a senior detective as a bodyguard. Questioned on the matter in the Assembly, he said he had been subjected to insult in public thoroughfares and threatened in scoundrelly language by well-known and unknown persons. He was sure citizens would be relieved to know that the Inspector-General of Police had detailed a detective to carry out official instructions.
