FAREWELL TO OTACO. By Telegraph—Press Association. Duni'dhi. Last Night. His Excellency the Governor arrived 011 a farewell visit to-day. In the evening he was entertained at a converßaizone by the Mayor and councillors. In the course of a speech Lonl Islington expressed regret at leaving New Zealand, and referred to his work in India, which, he said, would concern the people of Ivew Zealand as much as any other part of the Empire. The work of the Commission would be to enquire exhaustively into the "whole public service of India and its administrative methods, not only in regard to the Imperial Government but also in regard to each of the provincial Governments of India. Underlying the enquiry and the work attached to it was the whole future government of the Indian Empire. To-morrow night the Governor will inspect the Boy Scoutß and open the new Y.M.C.A. building, and 011 Wednesday he will open the Art Society's exhibition in the afternoon and the Overseas Club at night.
