Morey and Son announce good values in the new season's Cotton Dresses. Mr. Dobbinson will criticise our system of military training at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday, November 20. He says that all soldiers are—but we are only quoting him. Reserve your seat at Collier's and hear him for yourself. Writing to a friend in New Plymouth one of the officers of H.M.S. Turtle, says that they arrived safely on board their ship. En route they broke their journey to visit their brother officers of "Our Regiment," and on seeing the regiment go through its manouevres, all agreed that it was fully entitled to the grand name and reputation it lias earned for itself. They can thoroughly recommend it to the New Plymouth people, who will have the opportunity to witness it at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday, 20th inst. Messrs. W. Jenkinson and Co. have entered two handsome satin wood gigs for the Wanganui Show. These gigs will be sure to attract the attention of the Wanganui public. They have also sent one Taranaki gig to Mr. Evan Jones, of Toko, equally as well finished as the show gigs. The same firm have just re* ! varnished a gig made for Mr. E. Jackson, of Stratford, a year ago. This gig looks better than either of the above, the timber (satin wood) having mellowed witli age.
