THE REEFTON STRIKE. ; By Telegraph—Press Association. . i Reefton, November 11. The Inangahua Miners' Union held a mass meeting attended by two hundred miners, last night. The proceedings were long. Dowgray and Fagan, delegates to the Federation of Labor, presented their report recommending the terms of settlement, the main provisions being: That the employers' claim that ithe hammer drill could be worked by one man be withdrawn, and that all the mining operations, as now, be done by the msn working in pairs; that tho' employers have the right to have atoping and all other descriptions ;of mining operations done by contract, subject to certain spec- ,si iflcations; that preference be given to unionists and the employees must join the union if other union men are awaiting employment; that there be no victimisation, and all workers be reinstated in their old positions, the agreement to'« be for twelve months. The above set--tlement is approved by the companies in- i terested. The meeting approved the re- " commendation that t{\e agreement W* adopted, and will fooW a ballot on the 10th to ratify it. The trouble is now/ considered ended. The agreement will be registered under the Arbitration Court.' PASTRYCOOKS'AWARD. Dunedin, Last Night. The award of the Arbitration Court in the Bakers' and Pastrycooks' disputed was filed to-day. It will come into on November 18, and continue until Js T o- < vember 11, 1915. The award i» the same in substance as the Wellington and Auck- i land awards, with the exception that «f- v feet has been given to a request of the- 1 parties that special provision should ba made as to the starting hour on Wed- ' nesday, and for pastrycooks' holidays,
