The building was • badly gutterl, The fire appears to "have , started in the rear of the pastrycook's shop. Both stocks were damaged considerably by fire and water. Thompson ' was insured for £SOO in Hie State Fire Office and Scott for £75 in the New Zealand Insurance Company.
