MT. LYELL MINE.
THE MINE STILL ON FIRE. By Cable—Press Association—-Copyright. Hobart, November 9. The experiment so far at the North Lyell Mine has been unsuccessful. In the district covered the fire is still smouldering, and it is considered that the only remedy is the re-sealing of the mine and flooding. The water is now forty feet above the 1000 ft. level.
