FIRES IN SYDNEY.
SERIOUS LOSSES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, November 8. Several firms are involved in the Spring street fire. Fraser, Uther & Co. are the chief sufferers. The total damage is £25,000, covered by insurance. Insurances in the Kent street outbreak are £21,000, including £4500 in the New Zealand Insurance Company. Another fire seriously damaged the printing plant of the Australian Christian World. The firemen rescued in a semi-conscious condition a linotype operator who was clinging to a third floor window.
