Child who were clad only in night clothes, <; from the roof of a threatened building. JThe damage was heavy. v The second outbreak was at Kromley Home in Kent street, occupied by various firms. Damage was done to the wtent of £6OOO. An eighty-foot ladder, with three firemen on, collapsed, fiat luckily the broken portion rested on fthe wall till the firemen had escaped from their perilous position.
