MOA SCHOOL COMMITTEES' ASSOCIATION.
m I The adjourned meeting nf the above Association was held in the Inglewood School oil Friday evening last. The following delegates were present:— Messrs Thomjwon (president) and Ilood (secretary), Inglewood; Messrs ft. Stevens and Johnston, Norfolk; Messrs Hodges and Simpson, Durham; Messrs Egarr and Coad, Dudley; Mr. Capper. Kaiinata; Mr. Kilpatrick, Waiongona. The president stated that the main object of the meeting was to consider the advisability of holding the associated picnic on the same lines as last year. It was necessary to make a move some time ahead on account of the Railway Department's method of arrangements and in order not to clash with other functions. The inaugurating picnic was a great success, and on all sides pleasure had been expressed at the enjoyable time spent. He hoped some of the smaller •utlying schools would see fit come in with 'the Association to help to make this year's picnic a bigger success than ever. After general discussion, the president | moved—"That a picnic under the auspices of the Moa School Committees' Association be held at the seaside." This was seconded by Mr. J; F. Hodges and carried. It was also decided that one delegate from each school committee be a committee to further the matter in all respects, and that its first meeting be held on. Friday evening, 'November 22. and that it be a recommendation to the picnic committee to arrange for the same date as on the previous occasion. Those committees whose delegates did not attend this meeting are.'to be informed as to the decision arrived at. Mr. Simpson (Durham) brought up the matter of agitating 'for more'. contrdlbe-: ing given school 'committees regarding the donjestic affairs of their schools.
