SENSATIONAL FIRE.
DRAPERY STORE BURNT
SEVERAL EMPLOYEES KILLED.

The shop of Baker and Co., drapers, in South Kensington, was partially burned early this morning. Thirty girls were imperilled, some having thrilling escapes. Three are dead. One was dashed to the pavement from the fourth gtorey. Eleven were taken to the hospital.
SOME TERRIBLE SCENES.
London, November 3
There were heartrending scenes at the fire at Barker's. The heat was so intense that further rescue was impossible. Some girls leaped to the pavement and "were seriously injured. A rescued girl •aw her four companions perfsh. Eight we still missing, and their safety is hopeless. Four have succumbed in the kospital. The building was gutted.
