Sydney, November 1, The committee of the Commonwealth branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association lias decided to invite a party of twenty British members of Parliament J who are to visit Canada in August, 1913, !to extend their trip to Australia. MARINE TONNAGE. ' Sydney, November 1. Mr. Jefferson, managing director of the McArthur Shipping Company, has returned home specially impressed by the shortage of marine tonnage all over the world. Through freights, except in the Australasian trade, were the highest ever known, but the large carrying capacity of the regular lines to Australasia { kept freights to the Commonwealth and I New Zealand comparatively low. Wheat l freights had nevertheless increased recently from 32s 6d to 40s a ton, a record. A CHARGE OF MURDER.
