A HUNGER STRIKE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, October 29. Miss Gladys Evans, the suffragette who was imprisoned for attempting to set fire to the Dublin Theatre, has been on a hunger strike since her arrest.

Miss Evans was discharged in consideration of the fact that she had been un der detention since her arrest, the Magistrate remarking that there was difficulty in dealing with people for whom punishment had no terror and servitude no shame.
