A FREMANTLE TRAGEDY.
MURDER AND SUICIDE. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Fremantle, October 30. A French settler named Charles Martin gave a neighbor a sealed note, stating that Mrs. Martin had been murdered. Her 'body was found in Martin's house, hacked about the head with a tomahawk. Martin is. missing.
Received 30, 9.20 p.m. Martin's body was found hanging to a tree. His wife was dissatisfied with the loneliness of the bush, and after frequent quarrels the twain separated. She summoned her husband on Thursday, threatening to shoot herself. The Magistrate effected a reconciliation, and the couple returned home on Monday.
