In a cricket match against the Australians the British Columbia fifteen made 110 in the first innings. Matthews took six, and Kelleway seven wickets. In their second innings Australia have eight wickets down for 236 rum.
SATURDAY FIXTURES. The following are the first round fixtures for the Saturday competition:— November 2. —Law y. New Plymouth, at the Sports Ground; Inglewood v. United Service, at Inglewood. November 9. —United Service v. Law, at the Sports Ground; Inglewood v. New Plymouth, at'lnglewood. November 16.—New Plymouth v. United Services, at the Sports Ground; Inglewood v. Law, at Inglewod.
The High School are not putting in a Saturday team, and on this account it has been arranged that Inglewood shall have all the first round matches as home matches.
